This page is meant to answer all questions on ordering, payment, shipment and miscellaneous subjects.
If you have any questions, please check this page first.
To place an order, simply
>e-mail< me
(w_heemskerk@hotmail.com)
telling me what you want to buy and where you are (for shipping costs). Don't forget to specify card
language, set and edition! (You can simply copy the lines with what you want from the card / product
tables into your e-mail if you like.)
The minimum order size is €10.-
Prices are in Euros. A Euro is roughly 1.55 US dollar, 0.80 Pound Sterling, or
1.55 Canadian dollar - May 9 2008
When e-mailing back and forth, please include all previous e-mails from that conversation.
I only list cards and product I have in stock, ready to sell, and I update as I process each order. This makes the lists highly
accurate, so there's no need to ask for items not listed. Sometimes however a last copy is ordered two times very shortly after one
another, nor will I put it beyond me to make a listing mistake. Therefore when I process your order, I physically set your cards /
product aside for before confirming. Note that thereby I am making them unavailable to others, so if for any reason you end up not
buying them, I do expect you to notify me of your wish to cancel.
You can pay by Moneybookers (which offers escrow too), Paypal (which includes direct credit card payments), bank, Western Union or cash.
All prices on my site reflect a cash discount: you are charged exact costs of the payment method, so you are free to make your own optimal choice.
You can pay by Moneybookers to w_heemskerk@hotmail.com. Please pay in Euros. Payment is instant (if you have funds in your account)
and never costs more than € 0.50. Don't worry if your account runs in a currency other than Euros, just specify a Euro payment
and Moneybookers wil convert the currency automatically at a favourable rate (max. 1.3%).
Moneybookers.com is in my opinion what Paypal should have been: safe, easy and most affordable. A payment never
costs more than € 0.50. Uploading funds from your bank is free from most European countries as well as Australia
and Japan. Uploading from credit card is possible at a competitive rate (1.9%; you end up about 50% cheaper than Paypal).
Moneybookers also offers an affordable escrow service which I accept on all orders with fully insured shipping. It is extremely simple
to use: all you need to do is tick the escrow box at the Moneybookers send money tab. If you use this service you are assured that
Moneybookers will not release your payment to me until you have received your order.
If you do not have a Moneybookers account yet you can set one up using >this link<. Setting up an account and funding it from your own
bank account is simple and quick.
You can pay by Paypal to w_heemskerk@hotmail.com (my "Paypal ID"). Please pay in Euros. Payment is instant, but a good bit more
costly than Moneybookers. It is however somewhat simpler here to use your credit card to pay. Please add 3.9% + EUR 0.35 to your
payment to cover the costs. If you let me know you'd like to use Paypal, I will do this math for you. Don't worry if your account
runs in a currency other than Euros, just specify a Euro payment and Paypal wil convert the currency automatically (though at 2.5%
commission).
Please select that you're paying for goods. You'll notice that Paypal includes your address with the payment for you (do not hide
it). Note that if you pay by Paypal I am required to ship to that (confirmed) address, which is normally your credit card's billing
address.
If you do not have a Paypal account yet you can set one up using >this link<. Depending on your country, setting up an account may
take up to four weeks due to Paypal's verification procedures.
Netherlands
Within the Netherlands it is by far simplest to pay me by transfering the money directly to my bank account (number below).
International An international bank transfer (wire transfer) is a safe way to pay. From inside
the European Union it is very cheap as well. It may seem a bit daunting though, at first use. I guess this is because the system
is rather old already, was originally designed for large payments between companies, and always involves two of those
bureaucratic institutions we call banks ;).
The system used is called SWIFT (though most banks advertise it under a fancy name of their own as well).
A transfer takes 3-5 workdays to arrive. In Europe a new system called SEPA is emerging as well, with a transfer time of
1-3 workdays.
Europe
Inside the European Union as well as from Norway and Iceland you can make a bank payment free (or near free) of costs;
your bank is >required
by law< to process the payment for a fee no higher then what you would pay for a national transfer
(which for most Europeans is nothing or next to nothing), as long as you pay in euros and provide the proper data:
My Bank: ABN AMRO, Hofstraat, Apeldoorn
My Bank's BIC (bank code / SWIFT-adres): ABNANL2A
My account number: 53.17.78.258
My IBAN: NL63ABNA0531778258
My name, to which the account is registered: W. Heemskerk
My address: Chris Wegerifstraat 17, 7311 RE Apeldoorn, Netherlands
Payment type: SHA - the default (which means shared transfer costs)
If your bank is on the SEPA system already, this works from Switzerland and Liechtenstein as well, under the same conditions.
World wide The system is available (nearly) world wide, but the fees vary wildly around the globe (roughly
between five and thirty euro with US banks asking the most), so best inquire at your bank first. By default there is a
fee at both ends (shared costs - SHA) and it is best to leave it that way (because it is predictable). At my end EUR 7.-
will be deducted for this fee, so please add that EUR 7.- to your payment. You should pay me in Euro. Your bank will
exchange your local currency to euros for you at an excellent interbank rate.
Western Union
In a few countries the SWIFT system for international bank transfers is not available
(yet), but offices offering the Western Union Money Transfer service are. In that case Western Union offers a
safe alternative at a comparable rate. My name and address (as specified above) are all you need to make the
transfer. Please specify the amount in euros. Western Union will give you a control number that you need to mail
me. With that number (and proper ID) I can pick up the money.
Cash
I recommend against sending cash by uninsured mail, especially larger amounts. I wil never take
any responsibility for cash not making it over. If you do choose to send cash by mail I advise you
to try to insure or at least register it. Also, make sure your nation's postal services allow mailing cash.
Tips
If you do send cash, send banknotes only and conceal them inside a letter. Including coins strongly increases
the chance of mail getting lost. Unwrapped banknotes can easily be recognized through all but the thickest envelopes.
Currency
Euro's please, the native currency for the Netherlands and most of the European Union.

Money Order
Sorry, but it not possible to send money orders to and from the Netherlands. This form of payment offered by
the postal services seems to be quite popular inside the USA. However, it was not practical for international use.
Jan 1 2003 the Dutch postal services have stopped handling international money orders altogether (which also ended
the international COD parcel service). I don't think it's much of a loss.
All orders ship within seven days of arrival of payment. I e-mail you a confirmation once your package is on its way.
Shipping is always at actual costs: I do not charge for packing, handling, or the drop off at the post office.
I will use registered mail at all times, because normal mail sadly gets 'misplaced' by postal services
sometimes. Registered mail on the other hand is handled with much more care and should a shipment ever go astray
anyway, then the postal services will be able to provide clear proof of loss. Thus the fragile relationship of
trust is safeguarded.
Worldwide Shipping starts at € 9,00 good for a stack of up to 40 cards. For Europe the rates start
at € 7,50 which is good for about 200 cards. Within the Netherlands the rates start at € 6,65 which is good
for hundreds of cards. [Yes, these are the actual postal rates I'm afraid, valid from January 1st 2008;
consider yourself lucky if it's considerably cheaper in your country.]
Please check your package for postal damage before signing for it. Once you have signed for OK receipt
of a package you can no longer claim any damages from the postal services.
For some countries please add your phone number to your address, for the convenience of your local courier. This is
mandatory for packages to France and said to help speed up delivery for Italy, Portugal, and Spain.
In todays world you're certainly entitled to ask for more than this website before trusting me with
your money.
For references I primarily use Chris Cable's site, simply the authorative source for MeCCG trader
references and of course up to date and completely independent. To check my references visit >Chris' site<, click 'trader refs' on the top right and look under
'Heemskerk, Wim'. Note that in this system 'negatives' are not tolerated; Chris investigates all complaints made
and if a complaint is not resolved to his satisfaction a trader looses all his (postive) references and is moved
to a suitable warning list.
Upon succesfull completion of your first order I will recommend you at Chris'. I hope you'll return the
courtesy. A recommendation is made simply by >e-mailing your opinion to
Chris<. Note: if you don't want me to mail in a recommendation for you (though he publishes only your name)
just let me know.
Furthermore I have been quite active in promoting MeCCG over the years and known by many players as a result
(or at least that's what I like to think ;) ). When you pay by Paypal you'll be shown a reference number as well.
What to make of that, I don't really know either, but at least it shows that I've been around for a while already.
Occasionally I am also active on eBay, so you can check >my (modest) references there< too.
From time to time I get inquiries from people wondering if I am truly still active and if this site is
indeed still up to date. I can't blame you for wondering, as I've seen sales sites too that went stale
years ago. For this reason I write a little date-marked tidbit on the >front page<
every now and then. That date there is really the date I wrote it; there's no software updating that
without my presence. Even though I don't always have something interesting to report, I try to never let
the most recent note get over six months old.
N.B. The date under that remark is not the last time I updated this website. The lists of
available singles and product are updated whenever I process orders or the occasional new stock, which is
generally several times a week.
Communication by e-mail works just fine 99,9% of the time. I'd hate it if I you'd feel insecure by being 100%
dependent on it though, so here's my phone number: +31 555 220 976. Please use it only if you run into a serious
problem with e-mail communication, and before you do please:
- Remember that occasional hick-ups are part of the internet; if a mail to me bounces (or this site is
down) please try again a few hours later.
- (Double)check your end: if you get the feeling that my replies don't reach you please a) mail me an alternate
e-mail address where I can reach you (if possible), please b) make sure you mailbox isn't full and c) include
your own e-mail address in the message text.
- Don't forget that I am on Central European Time. Please don't ever phone outside the hours of 10am and 10pm
CET!
